OnePlus admitted that the technology is in high demand, but said it could increase power consumption by 50%. At the same time, the company is evaluating the possibility of adding it in the future through software updates.

In addition, in a blog post, OnePlus revealed that it has ditched Wear OS in favor of a real-time operating system (RTOS) also for the sake of autonomy. And OnePlus Watch will support displaying information on the screen with a frequency of 50 fps versus the usual 30 fps, which should make the device one of the smoothest smartwatches among the models with long autonomy.

On the technical side, OnePlus has shared some interesting details here as well. In particular, the clock is based on three chips: ST32, Apollo 3, and Cypress. The first one stands out for its high performance and is responsible for the interface, the second processes data from various sensors and stands out for energy efficiency, and the third is responsible for Bluetooth.

Among other things, it is worth noting the following: OnePlus Watch will not yet support iOS, they have a microphone and a speaker, about 2 GB of memory are allocated for music in the watch.
