Samsung leads the global smartphone business in February 2021: Counterpoint

Just recently, market analysis and business research firm Counterpoint published its latest report on global smartphone exports in February 2021.

The latest report reveals data on smartphone exports and the market share of the top seven phone manufacturers, with smartphone sellers recording monthly growth.

According to the report, Samsung has been dominating the technology market since the beginning of this year. The company has 20% of the total market share and has a monthly increase of 17%. However, despite the inclusion of the US, Huawei ranks sixth.

Apple is showing 20% ​​growth per month behind covering 17% of market share. Than Xiaomi, OPPO, Vivo, Huawei, Honor.

Xiaomi has a 13% market share, OPPO has a 12% market share and Vivo has a 10% market share, increasing by 1%, 3%, and 2% per month, respectively.

Huawei has a market share of 4%, a monthly increase of 18%, which lags behind Apple Tech. At the same time, the former subsidiary of Huawei has 2% of the total market share and 8% of the monthly growth.

Kang Kyung-soo, research analyst at Counterpoint believes that Chinese brands Xiaomi and OPPO are getting the benefit of the US Sanction on Huawei. This is the main reason that they successfully surpass Huawei.

In addition, Huawei recently revealed its annual report, which shows a growth of 3.2 percent year-over-year, with total revenue of 891.4 billion yuan.
