Microsoft’s Teams and Xbox Live services failed on the evening of April 1, local time in the United States, and the machine was down for 2 hours.

Subsequently, Microsoft said that the service has been completely restored. This is a month since Microsoft has encountered an online service crash again. The failure on March 15 has a wider impact and covers more applications.

A Microsoft spokesperson said in a statement, “We have mitigated mid-end issues that may affect customers.” On the Microsoft 365 status page, when a failure occurs, it says “DNS failure is affecting multiple services, including Microsoft 365, Azure service.” As of press time, this page shows that everything is normal. Microsoft said it will continue to monitor the company’s services to ensure stability and reliability.

During the failure period, Xbox account login, multiplayer games, and cloud game services were all unavailable, and many overseas users gave feedback on social platforms.

During the previous failure on March 15th, Microsoft Teams, Azure, and Microsoft 365 related services were terminated for about 4 hours. The cause of the failure was server configuration changes.
