Opera browser is faster with M1 support for Mac and custom shortcuts

The developers of the Opera browser today published a new version of their brainchild, which implements an important innovation – “native” support for Apple M1 processors.

According to the developers themselves, the latest version of Opera is twice as fast as the previous version. Not only has access to websites accelerated but also the transition to native Opera features such as WhatsApp, Telegram, Twitter, and Instagram via the sidebar.

In addition, Opera now lets you customize keyboard shortcuts for quick access to Flow, which links your PC browser to Opera on iOS and Android.

This connection is an end-to-end encrypted chat with all your devices to send notes, images, links, files – anything you don’t want to miss. You can now also create shortcuts for Opera’s built-in Crypto Wallet and Player function, the gateway to all your favorites on Apple Music, Spotify, and YouTube Music.

To set custom keyboard shortcuts for your favorite features:

  • Click the three-dot icon at the bottom of your sidebar
  • Click the three-dot icon next to the feature and select Configure shortcuts
  •  Type your custom shortcut next to the feature
