Samsung One UI 3.1 Tip: What is Eye comfort shield and how to enable

Samsung has officially launched the Galaxy S21 flagships on January 14, 2021. These S21 smartphones come pre-installed with the Android 11-based One UI 3.1 version. It is an upgraded version of One UI 3.0 having some minor improvements and new features.

Previously, we’ve discussed two features of the One UI 3.1 – Always On Display and Director’s View. Therefore, another feature of the One UI 3.1 is “Eye Comfort Shield”. The Eye Comfort Shield is an upgraded version of the currently available ‘blue light filter option’.

As we know, enabling the Blue light filter option decreases the amount of blue light displayed on the screen of the device. Filtering out the Blue light provides a better sleep to the users. It also reduces digital eye strain, so your eyes won’t feel so tired by the end of the day.

The One UI 3.1’s Eye Comfort Shield automatically adjusts the blue light based on the time of day, content you’re viewing, and your bedtime to help reduce eye fatigue. This feature is ‘off’ by default. Want to know, how to enable the Eye Comfort Shield on your Samsung Galaxy device running One UI 3.1? Check the steps below.
