LG just announced a new lineup of soundbars for 2021 in a press release on its official website, and three of them provide support for Apple’s AirPlay 2 streaming function. Users who have purchased SP11RA, SP9YA, and SP8YA soundbars can directly stream media via iPhone, iPad, or Mac.
In addition, AirPlay 2 can realize remote control of connected devices and deep integration with other speakers to build a complete home audio system. Furthermore, LG said that the new product can reproduce high-quality audio, and supports Dolby Atmos, DTS: X, and Dolby Vision under 4K pass-through.
In terms of interactive experience, the three high-end models also support Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa voice assistant, supplemented by the AI room calibration function. The latter can measure the shape of the room to provide the corresponding audio experience optimization.
It is worth mentioning that LG has also introduced the AI Sound Pro function for the 2021 soundbar product line, which can obtain a consistent audio experience when paired with LG’s own TV.
