Following the announcement of the world’s first Wi-Fi 6 enabled 8K TV in 2020, MediaTek and Samsung are once again pushing the smart TV industry with the latest connectivity features and premium 8K imaging for unmatched home entertainment experiences.
AV Magazine’s “Best TV of All Time” – Samsung Neo QLED – is known to be the first TV with Wi-Fi 6E support. As it turned out now, this support is implemented through the MediaTek platform.
The company said that Samsung’s new flagship TVs were the first in the world to receive the MediaTek MT7921AU SoC. It is this platform that has a Wi-Fi 6E adapter.
Also, the new SoC supports Bluetooth 5.2, but this is all that MediaTek has told about its new product, and the SoC does not yet have a separate page on the manufacturer’s website.
