Xiaomi planning to launch three more smartphones with Snapdragon 870 SoC

Xiaomi plans to release three more mobile devices, which are based on the Snapdragon 870 SoC, but there is no information on these devices yet. Earlier this year, the company launched the Xiaomi Mi 10S and Redmi K40 smartphones powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 870.

The 7nm Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 SoC is the overclocked version of the Snapdragon 865+. It includes four ARM Cortex-A77 cores and four Arm Cortex-A55 cores.

The only difference from the Snapdragon 865+ is the 100 MHz higher frequency of the high-performance core: it is 3.2 GHz instead of 3.1 GHz. The Adreno 650 GPU was also used by the Snapdragon 865+. This platform is equipped with a Snapdragon X55 5G modem, it supports Bluetooth 5.2, Wi-Fi 6, and Quick Charge 4+.

Since the release of the Snapdragon 870 SoC, the platform has been in high demand as it offers excellent performance at a significantly lower price point than the Snapdragon 888.

Other smartphone makers, including Motorola, Oppo, Iqoo, and others, have already released or are preparing to launch their smartphones on this SoC.
