Huawei Mate 30 receiving February 2021 security update
Alongside EMUI 11 and HarmonyOS, Huawei is also taking care of its devices via system security and continuously releasing monthly security patches that fix different levels of exploits and issues that defend the device against threats.
Previously, Huawei delivered a firmware update for Mate 30 Pro and RS model that installed the security patch released in February 2021 for improved system security as well as optimizes the system qualitativeness of some scenes.
This February 2021 security patch fixes different levels of exploits and issues within Huawei smartphones including 2 critical, 26 high, and 77 medium levels of CVEs.

Now, this update is started expanding for Huawei Mate 30 vanilla variant in the Chinese market. However, the global Mate 30 Pro also grabbed this update earlier and the update will touch the rest of Mate 30 devices across the globe.
Users can identify this latest update with EMUI 11 version 11.0.0.175 upgraded from 11.0.0.170 with a package size of 1.23 GB.

Through Settings:
- Open Settings in your device
- Click on system & updates
- Click on the software update
- Check for updates
- Click on the download button

- Open service tab
- Tap on update
- Check for updates
