Tesla complains for approvals by German regulators may delay the start of new plants
Recently, Tesla criticized the German authorities today, saying that its approval procedures are lengthy and inflexible, which may delay the start of the factory.
Tesla announced in November 2019 that it plans to build a new plant in Gruenheide in the eastern German state of Brandenburg to cater to the rapidly growing demand for electric vehicles in Europe.

After the plant will become the Shanghai plant, Sla’s second electric car plant overseas. It is planned that the plant will be put into operation before July 1 this year, and it is hiring up to 12,000 workers to produce as many as 500,000 electric vehicles each year. However, the Environmental Office of Brandenburg in the Federal State of Berlin has not yet indicated that the plant can be started.
Today, Tesla stated in a letter submitted to the local court: “Germany’s approval framework for industrial and infrastructure projects contradicts the urgency of planning and realizing such projects.” This is not in the German courts. It is common and it is not clear whether German judges will seriously consider their opinions.
Tesla also said that 16 months after the application was submitted, the German authorities had not given a timetable for the final approval of the project, which was “too irritating.” Tesla also accused that any delay in the start of construction would hinder the progress of European emissions targets.
But the government authorities insist that they have done everything they can to speed up Tesla’s supervision process, including obtaining logging and construction permits, and it only takes four weeks to complete the process. Since the establishment of the factory, a large number of environmentalists have protested, worrying that the Tesla factory may endanger the water supply and wildlife
