New update for Huawei P40 Pro brings March 2021 security improvements

Now, Huawei has started sending a new software update for the Huawei P40 Pro smartphones. This update mainly installs the latest security patch released in March 2021, which fixes different levels of exploits and issues to defend the device against threats.

The latest firmware for the Huawei P40 smartphone can be identified with the EMUI 11 version 11.0.0.180 with an update size of 282 MB. It is important to note that the update is currently rolling out in batches and may take some time to reach every device.

How to update:

Through Settings:

  • Open Settings in your device
  • Click on system & updates
  • Click on the software update
  • Check for updates
  • Click on the download button
  • Install updates
  • After completion of the installation, the reboot option appears on the screen
  • Reboot the device

  • Open Support app on your device
  • If not installed, download it from the Play store
  • Open service tab
  • Tap on update
  • Check for updates
  • Click on the download button
  • Install updates
