The German “Business Daily” reported last week that China’s Shenzhen 5G network already has 46,000 base stations, while Germany has only 850 mature 5G base stations, and even Shenzhen has more 5G base stations than all of Europe Base stations.
Moreover, the current German network operators Deutsche Telekom, Vodafone, and Telefónica have also announced that they have established 5G networks, but they seem to be different from the current mature 5G solutions.
Some professionals analyzed that German operators do not rely on mature 5G mobile communications but instead use lower-cost software updates to enable users to run 5G on existing 4G networks.
As a result, the end customer will see the 5G symbol on the smartphone, but the actual network speed is almost the same.
