TFI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, known for his accurate predictions about Apple products, claims that the Face ID sub-screen camera system will only be implemented in iPhones in 2023.
Only two and a half years later, when a smartphone with the presumable name iPhone 15 should appear on the market, Apple will finally abandon the famous notch in the central upper part of the screen.
Apple remains one of the few smartphone makers to continue to use a large notch in the screen where the image sensors and speaker holes are located. According to the latest leaks, the iPhone 13’s bangs will be smaller, but still quite noticeable.

Many other manufacturers have long since switched to using a small hole for the front camera in the display, as well as fingerprint sensors that are located under the surface of the screen. An under-display fingerprint scanner is coming to the iPhone 13 this year.
Android smartphone makers will launch the first models with hidden sub-screen cameras this year. The analyst is confident that by 2023 the technology will be mature enough to appear on the iPhone.
