Samsung Galaxy Note 8 receiving April 2021 security update

Samsung’s April 2021 security update rollout is in full swing as a number of Galaxy devices have been receiving this security improvement over the air. Now, the company started rolling out this software update to its four-year-old flagship smartphone, the Galaxy Note 8.

Identified via release number: N950FXXSEDUC2, this new Galaxy Note 8 update brings system security improvements by installing the latest Android and One UI security patches released in April 2021. Other than this, the new OTA update doesn’t come with new features of system optimizations.

Launched back in August 2017, Samsung Galaxy Note 8 smartphone has already received two Android upgrades and completed its major update support lifecycle. Moreover, a few months ago, the company dropped it to a quarterly update schedule on a monthly basis.
