Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 2 firmware development reportedly started!

Posted on

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Galaxy Z Flip 2 are the only anticipated Samsung devices for this year as the Galaxy Note 21 series postponed to next year. Although the company is likely to introduce new folding phones in the second half, the leaks and rumors regarding these models are continuously spreading on the web.

According to the latest, the South Korean tech giant has started the firmware development for its next clamshell-type foldable smartphone, Galaxy Z Flip 2. However, a reliable source has recently revealed that Samsung has begun the software development for the Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Galaxy S21 FE.

It is worth mentioning that, Samsung has introduced the Galaxy Z Flip alongside the Galaxy S20 series last year while it has skipped launching the Galaxy Z Flip 2 at the Galaxy S21 launch event. With this move, we are expecting that the company could unveil both of the new folding smartphones at the same time in nearly July this year.

On the other hand, Samsung has not yet announced anything about the launch of new foldable phones. Last year, the Galaxy Note 20 series exclusively shipped with the One UI 2.5 version so it is assumed that the Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Galaxy Z Flip 2 will come with Android 11-based One UI 3.5 out of the box.

As per the previous reports, Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 2 has model number SM-F711, which will be available in two different memory options including 128GB and 256GB. As of now, we suggest you take this information as a pinch of salt as we are waiting to get more new info on this matter in the near future.
