Electric car in China catches fire while charging

According to Chinese sources, this week in China there was spontaneous combustion of the Xpeng G3 electric car, which at that moment was connected to a charging station.

The incident took place on April 14 in the Tianhe District, Guangzhou. According to eyewitness testimony, the fire was quite intense, with the release of a large amount of white smoke.

It is noteworthy that the Chinese electric vehicle maker just released a new model yesterday, called the Xiaopeng P5. Xpeng has confirmed that its car was on fire and has already formed a task force to investigate and determine the cause of the fire.

Neither the owner of the vehicle nor other people were injured. This is the company’s seventh car fire since 2019.
