SK Hynix to launch PE8110 E1.S enterprise-class SSD, using 128-layer stacked NAND particles
SK Hynix said on Wednesday that it will start production of a brand-new PE8110 E1.S solid-state drive with an M.2 interface. The product is designed for enterprise customers and is scheduled to be shipped in May 2021.
The PE8110 E1.S solid-state drive will be manufactured with Hynix’s own 128-layer stacked NAND particles, which can increase write performance by 88% and read performance by 83%. Hynix’s previous generation of enterprise-level SSD model is PE6110, which is manufactured based on 96-layer stacked NAND flash memory particles.

The new SSD also complies with the Open Computing Project (OCP) standard. The new product has high compatibility and can be immediately replaced with the SSD product in service.
PE8110 E1.S enterprise-class SSD will provide 5-year warranty service. In addition, solid-state drives with 128-layer NAND will also launch models with SATA interfaces.
