Developers can now provide a subscription model for VR applications or games to attract user
Oculus announced in its blog yesterday that Oculus Store has supported a subscription model. Developers can provide a subscription model for VR applications or games to attract more users.
According to the latest information, the six VR software FitXR, the hugely successful Rec Room, Tribe XR, Tripp, vSpatial, and VZfit already support the subscription model. If users have already purchased this software, they can continue to use it. The subscription model only provides another option.
Moreover, Oculus’s subscription model is to subscribe to a single software, rather than using all the software in the library during the subscription period like the HTC Viveport subscription.
The official also stated that application and game developers can publish the latest content through subscription channels, which not only guarantees the interests of players who purchase one-time but also obtains more income through the subscription system.
