Verizon will release 5G Internet services in United States this year
Verizon, the largest telecommunications company in the United States, said on Thursday that it will launch 5G Internet services for enterprises in 21 cities in the United States this month.
Additionally, to the previously covered Chicago, Houston, and Los Angeles, 24 cities will Will become a beneficiary. In the service provided by Verizon, the speed includes three types: 100Mbps, 200Mbps, and 400Mbps.
These are oriented to large enterprises and small and medium-sized enterprises, and there is no traffic restriction. For new customers, the value is locked within 10 years, and there is no need to sign a long-term contract.
Verizon started to launch 5G services last year, the speed is similar to the T-Mobile network but slower than AT&T. Verizon plans to promote 5G enterprise networks to the entire United States so that enterprises can use video collaboration tools and edge computing.
It should be noted that Verizon’s 5G service is provided through a fixed wireless network. When companies collect a large amount of data in a certain place, like factories, oil wells, and offices, edge computing can use AR and device learning technology to analyze.
At this time, data requires to be transmitted at ultra-high speeds, and 5G networks are useful. Verizon has worked with Microsoft and Nokia to help customers automate factory operations, reduce costs, and use private 5G networks to increase data transmission speeds.
