BYD Tang DM-i goes on market, starting at 2,668.63 USD
BYD Tang DM-i’s world premiere and launch conference was held in Shanghai. The pre-sale cost of this model is 199,800 to 216,800 yuan (2,892.06 USD) after comprehensive subsidies.
BYD stated that Tang DM-i is a medium and large flagship smart super-hybrid SUV tailored for mainstream households who value economy and comfort.
Tang DM-i’s fuel consumption is 5.3L/100km , and it accelerates from 100km to 8.5 seconds. The car is equipped with a plug-in hybrid system that is independently developed by BYD.
The dedicated turbocharged 1.5Ti high-efficiency engine and EHS electric hybrid system power assembly adopts lithium iron phosphate ‘blade battery’ that can give two pure electric cruising ranges of 52 kilometers and 112 kilometers, with a total cruising range of up to 1050 kilometers.
Tang DM-i inherits the ‘Dragon Face” family design language, has dual safety evaluations, a large seven-seat luxury car interior, and is equipped with an inductive electric tailgate and a cloud service smart butler.
