Windows 10 Sun Valley update (21H2 version) is expected to bring more Fluent animations

Windows 10 Sun Valley update 21H2 version is expected to adopt a rounded corner application design, in addition to some other visual updates. In the Windows 10 21H2 preview, Microsoft replaced the classic “zoom” animation that has been in use for a long time with new animations.

Microsoft has been regularly pushing new features and improvements in the preview version. As revealed earlier this year, one of the new features in the Windows 10 21H2 update is a new animation for opening apps. The new animation occurs when the user closes and opens application windows, such as run, command prompt, explorer, etc.

Moreover, Microsoft has confirmed that based on the Fluent design system, Windows 10 may use more animations throughout the system. Microsoft also pointed out that they are looking for feedback from testers that they have enabled some changes, and “more changes are on the way.”

The last update of Windows 10 animation was in 2015. The new animation can be said to be a small addition to the operating system, but it adds a bit of freshness to the overall experience.

In addition, the tech giant seems to be planning to use the same animations in traditional and modern components. This will ensure that the user has the same animation everywhere to improve the consistency of the overall UI.
