China opens world’s largest Internet test facility network

Future Internet Test Facility (FITI) high-performance backbone network opening ceremony was held at Tsinghua University. FITI is currently the world’s largest Internet test facility and the first in China’s information field. Major national science and technology infrastructure projects, an important part of future network test facilities.

With the help of FITI, the number of IPv6 addresses has as a symbol of the beginning of the next-generation Internet jumped to the first place in the world in early April.

Moreover, the core nodes of the FITI backbone network are distributed in 31 provinces, autonomous regions, and municipalities across the country. The bandwidth between the core nodes reaches 200G, and it supports no less than 4096 large-scale experimental networks.
