Apple iPad Pro US version supports millimetre wave 5G speed with upto 4Gbps

At the 2021 spring new product launch, Apple officially launched a new generation of iPad Pro equipped with the M1 chip. This product supports Thunderbolt and USB 4 interfaces, as well as 5G connections.

Apple said that the iPad Pro has the most 5G frequency bands in its class and provides the world’s most extensive 5G coverage. In the United States, the iPad Pro supports millimeter wave, the high-frequency version of 5G, which allows the iPad Pro to reach a speed of up to 4Gbps.

In terms of processors, Apple claims that the 8-core CPU performance of the iPad Pro is up to 50% higher than the A12Z Bionic, and the 8-core graphics processor’s graphics processing performance can be up to 40% higher.

Apple pointed out that iPad Pro has a new generation of 16-core Apple neural network engine, advanced image signal processor (ISP), high-bandwidth unified memory architecture, up to 16GB of memory, 2 times the storage speed, up to 2TB capacity.

Because the M1 and A-series chips use the same infrastructure, iPadOS has been optimized to take full advantage of M1’s powerful technology, and can easily cope with tasks ranging from simple navigation to high-performance workflows.
