The schematic diagram stolen from Apple supplier Quanta Computer outlines the changes Apple has made to the next-generation MacBook Pro models expected to be launched in 2021 and confirms that the new models will add ports and straps.

There is a visible HDMI port on the right side of the machine, next to it is a USB-C/Thunderbolt port, and behind it is an SD card reader. There are two additional USB-C/Thunderbolt ports and a MagSafe charging slot on the left.
There are a total of three USB-C/Thunderbolt ports. Apple analysts Ming-Chi Kuo and Bloomberg have previously stated that all these ports will appear on MacBook Pro models in 2021, but the schematic diagram not only confirms the addition of new ports but also gives us an idea of their location.
The code name of this Mac is “J316”, which indicates that the logic board you see is designed for a 16-inch MacBook Pro. There is also a “J314” model, which is probably related to the 14-inch MacBook Pro that Apple is also rumored to be developing.
Both devices are expected to have new ports, MagSafe magnetic charging ports, and upgraded Apple silicon chips.
As reported, this information, from a ransomware organization called Ravil, which claimed to have entered the internal computer of Apple’s supplier Quanta Computer.
Additionally, to the logic board layout, the file also includes an in-depth technical list of MacBook components and layouts that may eventually give additional information about these machines after parsing.
The leaked pictures of the new MacBook Pro circulated on Twitter also confirmed that the device will not be equipped with a Touch Bar, which is consistent with the rumors we heard. The shell design may also have more rounded corners.
The REvil organization threatened that if Apple does not pay the ransom before May 1, it will release other documents stolen from Quanta Computer. REvil plans to release new documents every day until Apple pays the fee, and Apple did not comment on this situation.
Quanta Computer Co. stated that it was indeed subjected to “a small number of Quanta servers’ cyber attacks,” but it “has no material impact on the company’s business operations.”
