Apple launched M1 iPad Pro with mini-LED display

At the 2021 spring new product launch conference held yesterday, Apple officially launched a new generation of iPad Pro equipped with an M1 chip. This product supports Thunderbolt and USB 4 interfaces, as well as 5G connections.

Among them, the 11-inch version of the iPad Pro 2021 is a liquid retina display, and the domestic price starts at 6199 yuan and the 12.9-inch version is a liquid retina XDR display the domestic price starts at 8499 yuan.

According to the latest report, in the backlight supply chain for the 12.9-inch iPad Pro 2021, Epistar is the supplier of Mini LED chips, and HEESUNG Electronics and LGD Display of South Korea are the backlight module and panel suppliers. Hai Group’s close relationship with Apple, Zhending, and Korean manufacturer YP Electronics, are PCB backplane suppliers.

Moreover,  the 12.9-inch iPad Pro 2021 uses more than 10,000 LEDs on the back of the entire display. The full-screen brightness can reach up to 1,000 nits, the peak brightness can reach 1600 nits, and the contrast ratio reaches 1,000,000:1. This liquid retina XDR display supports technologies such as ProMotion, original color display, and P3 wide color gamut.
