Brydge launched a new Apple 12.9-inch iPad Pro keyboard, just in time for Apple’s new iPad Pro release. Brydge 12.9 Max + has a redesigned hinge, rear protection, and a huge multi-touch pad.
The brand new 12.9 Max + cancels the iconic Brydge hinge and replaces it with an integrated magnetic backplate.
Use the magnet built into the back of the iPad Pro to connect, eliminating the need to use old clips. Along with this, it can also protect the iPad.
In general, this keyboard is a more streamlined setting, making the iPad look more like a MacBook.
Additionally to the new magnetic SnapFit design, Brydge has also greatly expanded the size of the multi-touch trackpad, which has twice the surface area of Brydge Pro +.
Compared with Apple’s Magic Keyboard, Brydge 12.9 Max+ provides similar front and back protection when closed, backlit keys, and magnetic connections, but has a larger trackpad and is $100 cheaper.
Moreover, Apple’s Magic Keyboard has an additional USB-C port for charging. Other features include backlit keys with three levels of brightness, a full row of dedicated function keys for iPad.
One charge can give three months of battery life, and a new Bluetooth mode that can maintain a longer connection time when not in use.
Brydge’s 12.9 Max + is suitable for the third, fourth, and fifth-generation iPad Pro 12.9 inches. It has now been pre-ordered at a price of US$249.99 and will start shipping in June.
