Disney R&D Studio is developing a robot that can restore the character of the tree man “Groot” in the movie “Guardians of the Galaxy”.
As reported, the robot can move autonomously, joints, eyelids, and other parts can be moved, using a hollow skeleton that can circulate air to cool motors and actuators.
Currently, the robot is still in the development stage and has a battery life of only 45 minutes, but Disney’s goal is to make it appear in Disney parks and play with children.
