HIFIMAN launched RE2000 PRO flagship headset, priced is about 1,671.95 USD
The Chinese HiFi brand HIFIMAN had held a new product launch conference on April 22 and officially released the RE2000 PRO flagship headset. Compared with the previous generation, this product has undergone many upgrades.
The shell material is upgraded from brass + plastic to brass + aviation aluminum CNC molding, and the price is 10860 yuan. The HIFIMAN headset is a single-moving coil design, the biggest feature is the use of the self-developed topological diaphragm.
This technology utilizes nanomaterials deposited on the surface of the diaphragm to form a unique pattern, thereby improving the physical characteristics of the diaphragm and tuning.
By looking at the specification, the RE2000 PRO earphone moving coil unit has a diameter of 9.2mm and comes standard with a single crystal copper silver-plated wire.
The earphone impedance is as high as 60Ω, the sensitivity is 103dB, and the frequency response range is 20Hz~20kHz, which is not easy to push.
The official shows the difference between RE2000 PRO and the previous generation products. HIFIMAN also released the first self-developed R2R DAC decoder chip at the press conference, called HIMALAYA.
Along with this, the RE2000 PRO headset also launched a version with its own small decoding amp, the device is called HM800.
This decoding amp has a signal-to-noise ratio of 112dB, load distortion of 0.01%, and an output power of 37mW. It uses a Type-C interface to connect to a smartphone or computer.
The RE2000 PRO headset body is priced at 10860 yuan, and the HM800 set is priced at 13,860 yuan.
Additionally, the old golden RE2000 users support an additional 3,000 yuan to redeem RE2000 PRO+HM800. The product has already been pre-ordered and is expected to be shipped by the end of May 2021.
