Over the years, the Google Podcast app has gotten better and better and is very useful for most people who want the basic app to listen to Podcasts. Well, the application sometimes appears to hit ic. As some users have discovered, they cannot download new or latest episodes on the Google Podcast app. Some users receive “error code 1001” on Android.
Obviously, you should troubleshoot mobile data and Wi-Fi networks. Temporary defects in connectivity may be the cause of this situation. The general settings of airplane mode and other options are on/off because any application can run normally on your Android phone.

1. GOOGLE ISSUE
It happened before, and it happened to you again. There are some ways to check this. One is to hop on Twitter or check out the main technical blogs because they cover such stories. You can use #googlepodcasts to quickly filter search results.
2. STORAGE SPACE
With all the videos and clicked photos we have taken, it is easy to push the internal storage capacity to the limit. You can check the remaining space under “Settings”> “Device Maintenance”> “Storage”. Depending on the make and model of the phone, the options may vary.

You can clear old, useless files, especially media files, which consume more space than internal storage. Google Archives is also a good application, it will solve the problem of exhausting storage space for you, and quickly and effectively remove junk files.
3. MANAGE AUTO-DOWNLOAD
Most users don’t realize this, but podcasts take up a lot of space and you won’t even notice it because they are set to download automatically in the background. Now, if this happens, you may not have room for new episodes. Therefore, you can check the download under the “Activity”> “Downloads” tab. Delete old episodes to make way for new episodes.

You can perform different management of automatic downloads. Google Podcasts comes with two options, you can automatically “delete complete episodes” and “delete incomplete episodes” after a specified number of days. Again, both options are available under “Settings”.
4. TRY DOWNLOADING AGAIN
When downloading the plot, the connection link may be broken. To check, you should go to the download section to check the partially downloaded episodes. Some users know that the episode has been deleted and try to download it again.

5. UPDATE APP AND OS
Are you running an old version of the Google Podcast application? Open the Play Store and find the Google Podcast application.
If there is no update available, and no update button is available, then you will see an open button. Please update and check if the download on the podcast is normal.
6. CACHE AND DATA
Clearing cache files and other associated data in the application can solve many problems. You should note that the steps may vary depending on the make and model of the smartphone, but the basic premise remains the same.
7. BATTERY POWER MANAGEMENT SETTINGS
Many Android phones have battery management settings that provide various functions. One of the popular functions is to close unused applications and reduce the use of background data. Since most apps call this setting a different name, you need to manually check the power management setting on your Android phone. Assuming RAM consumes data, aggressive RAM management can kill the Google Podcast application in the background.
8. REINSTALL GOOGLE PODCASTS APP
I am sharing this method here because I want you/girls to do a fresh installation. Otherwise, the same old corrupted data responsible for this strange behavior will haunt you again.
Please follow the steps in point 6 above and delete all cache and data files. Then uninstall the Google Podcast application and reinstall it. This is called Clean Reinestact, no matter what platform you use, I suggest you not do this.
9. THIRD-PARTY PODCASTS APP
There are many podcast applications in the Play Store, many of which are better than those provided by Google. I would recommend Pocket Cast and Spotify, but you can go with anyone. Please note that neither of these is free, but has more features and ease of use than the price tag. Spotify is pretty self-explanatory, you may already be using it to play songs. Why not use it for podcasting too?
