Here are ways to transfer iCloud Photos to Google Photos

Recently, Apple released a new tool that enables users to transfer data from iCloud Photos to Google Photos. In this guide, we will show you step by step how to use this tool to transfer data.

According to Apple’s support, the file format is: jpg, .png, .webp, .gif, some RAW files, .mpg, .mod, .mmv, .tod, .wmv, .asf, .avi, .divx,. mov, .m4v, .3gp, .3g2, .mp4, .m2t, .m2ts, .mts and .mkv files.

Similarly, the transfer of albums seems to have a maximum of 20,000 photos per album. Therefore, if you transfer an album containing more than 20,000 photos, they will still be transferred, but will not be added to the album in Google Photos.

How to transfer iCloud photos to Google photos:

Step 1: Visit Apple’s privacy website and log in with your Apple ID.

Step 2: Now, click on the “Transfer a copy of photos and videos” option.

Step 3: Scroll down to the bottom of the page and click “iCloud Photos” and then click “Continue”.

Step 4: Select “Destination” and then select “Google Photos” from the options.

Step 5: Now, select the type of data to be transferred.

Step 6: You will now be asked to log in to your Google account. When finished, click the “Accept” button.

The transfer process will now begin to copy your data from iCloud to Google Photos. Apple stated that the transfer will take up to 7 days.

Please note that customers in Australia, Canada, the European Union, Iceland, Liechtenstein, New Zealand, Norway, Switzerland, the United Kingdom, and the United States can currently use the service.
