Google Chrome enabled the “reading list” feature on the iPhone for the first time, and then the feature finally entered the desktop version of the browser. But it will take some time for this feature to be available on Android.
If you wish to enable this feature on your Android smartphone, please refer to the following step-by-step guide to activate it. It will become a standard feature on the device, but until then, it can be enabled via a flag.
Enable reading list in Google Chrome for Android:
Step 1: Open the Google Chrome web browser application on your Android smartphone
Step 2: Now, enter the following in the address bar: chrome://flags
Step 3: In the search box at the top, type “reading list” and you will see a sign called “reading list”.
Step 4: Select the drop-down menu of the “Reading List” option, and then select “Enable” from the pop-up menu.
Step 5: After making these changes, you will be asked to restart your browser. Tap the “Restart” button.
Please note that this feature may still be unstable because it is still behind the Chrome tag, and there is a reason. It may also affect the performance of the browser, but in most cases, there should be no obvious difference between the two.
