How to fix vibration not working problem on Samsung Galaxy phones

Posted on

Even if you keep the ringer volume high, you may miss a call in a noisy environment. However, if the vibration is enabled, the phone is less likely to vibrate. Having said that, vibration is sometimes not applicable to many Samsung Galaxy phone users. This article will help you decide if you are alone and experience the same thing.

Vibration is not limited to making phone calls. Your phone will vibrate to send out notifications, touch interactions, etc. Samsung smartphone users will face all the problems related to them. The reforms described here should solve this problem.

let’s start.

1. RESTART PHONE

Like all troubleshooting steps, start with restarting your Samsung Galaxy smartphone. That should resolve any temporary disturbances caused by vibration.

2. ENABLE VIBRATION

If the phone does not vibrate when answering a new call, you must ensure “vibrate” when enabling the ring setting. You may have disabled vibration by mistake but forgot to enable it. To do this, go to “Settings”> “Sounds and Vibration”. Enable toggle to vibrate during playback. If it already exists, disable it and enable it again.

Similarly, Android allows you to individually disable or enable vibration for various functions (such as touch interaction, keyboard, keyboard, etc.). You should manually check whether the vibration setting is enabled for the required task. To do this, go to “Settings”> “Sound and Vibration”> “System Sound/Vibration Control”.

3. CHANGE VIBRATION PATTERN AND INTENSITY

You should change the intensity and pattern of the vibration to solve the problem. To do this, go to “Settings”> “Sounds and Vibration”. Tap the vibration intensity. Raise it to the best level. Similarly, click to call vibration mode and notification vibration mode. Use other modes.

4. CHECK INDIVIDUAL APP SETTINGS

If the vibration response does not apply to a specific application (such as the “message” application), you should check the settings of that application. Android Phone allows you to customize the notification settings of each application individually. The app may have accidentally disabled the vibration function.

There are two ways to investigate this. First, you can open the app settings directly from the app and enable vibration under notification settings. Or, go to “Phone Settings”> “Applications”. Click on the problematic application. Then click the notification.

You will get various notification categories. Click the appropriate one. For messaging apps, click Incoming message. Click on the text and don’t switch. Turn on the toggle switch next to “Vibration.” If it is enabled, disable it, and then enable it again.

5. UNINSTALL THEME

Have you installed a new theme on your Samsung phone recently? Some Samsung users suggest that these themes are the cause of the vibrations, and they do not understand these vibrations. You should check and uninstall all recently installed themes to solve the vibration problem. After uninstalling the theme, restart the phone.

6. UPDATE PHONE SOFTWARE

Sometimes, software updates may cause the vibration to not work. To solve this problem, you need to update your phone to the latest software. To do this, go to Settings> Software Update> Download and Install. If there is an update, please install it.

7. CHECK-IN THE SAFE MODE

Generally, third-party applications may cause vibration problems. One way to check is to put the phone in safe mode. Third-party applications cannot run in safe mode, so if third-party applications are doing malicious work, you can uninstall them one by one to find them.

To enable safe mode, turn off your phone. When it is completely turned off, press the power and volume-down buttons to turn on the device. When the Samsung logo appears on the screen, release the power button, but press and hold the volume down button until you see the home screen. The safe mode text will be displayed below, indicating that safe mode is enabled.

8. RESET ALL SETTINGS

The final solution related to this software is to reset the app’s preferences on the phone. This will reset all the phone’s settings to their default values. Before proceeding, please reset the settings to understand what happens.

To reset settings, go to Settings > General Management > Reset > Reset all settings.

9. CHECK VIBRATION MOTOR

If the above solutions do not help, you will need to test if you have a faulty vibration motor on your Samsung Galaxy phone. You can do that without opening the phone’s body and use the hardware testing function. Here are the steps:

Step 1: Open the dialer or Phone app. Dial *#7353# or *#0*#. No need to press the call button. The code will activate automatically.

Step 2: A white screen with various options will open. Tap on Vibration.

If the phone vibrates, then it’s a software issue. However, if the phone doesn’t vibrate, it’s time to visit the service center.

10. PERFORM INTERACTIVE CHECK

Another way to detect if a hardware issue causes the vibration issue is by using the Interactive check feature in the Samsung Members app.

Step 1: Open the Samsung Members app on your phone. Install it from the below link in case it isn’t installed.

Step 2: Tap on getting help, followed by Interactive checks.

Step 3: Tap on Vibration and follow the on-screen instructions.

VIBRATION CHECKS

We hope that the above improvements can solve the vibration that does not work on Samsung Galaxy phones. If the above solution is not mentioned for you, then checking the vibration motor of the mobile phone at a Samsung authorized service center is the last option.
