Here are ways to disable Background app refresh on iPhone
The default behavior of the Apple iPhone is to allow applications installed on the phone to obtain new data in the background so that the applications and related information are kept up to date. It also helps reduce loading time when switching back to the application.
However, the problem is that this feature also shortens battery life and consumes some data on the network. There are also applications that constantly monitor you for potential threats. If you want to disable “Background App Refresh”, please follow the step-by-step guide below.
Step 1: Open the “Settings” application on your iPhone.
Step 2: Now, in the Settings app, tap on the “General” option.
Step 3: Tap the “Background App Refresh” option.
Step 4: You will now see the settings related to App Refresh. You can disable background application refresh on an application-by-application basis here. Just click the switch next to each app you want to disable to turn it off.
Step 5: To completely disable background application refresh for all applications, click “Background Application Refresh” at the top of the page, and then select “Off” from the list.
It is worth noting that when you enable “Low Power Mode” on your iPhone, the “Background App Refresh” function will be disabled.
