A few weeks ago, Google announced that the company will soon enable users of its Pixel smartphone series to measure heart rate and breathing rate only by using the phone’s camera.
The newly announced feature is now available to users worldwide. However, please note that it is only available for Pixel smartphone users. In this guide, we will show you step by step how to use this function to check your heart rate.
How to measure heart rhythm with Google Fit:
Step 1: Open the Google Fit app on your smartphone.
Step 2: In the app, scroll down and find the “Heart Rate” section, then click the “+” button next to it.
Step 3: Now, follow the instructions and press “Start Measurement”.
Step 4: After that, put the fingerprint on the camera sensor of the phone and wait for the heart rate measurement.
That’s it. After a few seconds, you will see your heart rate in beats per minute on your smartphone. If you are not in a well-lit area, you can turn on the flashlight on your device for better detection.
