With the development of smart wearable devices, Huawei will continue to bring new technologies and new functions including SpO2 blood oxygen level measurement to its smartwatches.
The SpO2 function enables users to detect blood-oxygen levels in the blood and understand how their body adapts to exercise, sleep cycles, and environmental changes.
In the past, Huawei launched SpO2 function OTA updates for Huawei and the Watch series and introduced pre-installed new devices with this function.
WHAT IS SPO2:
SpO2 is the percentage of oxygenated hemoglobin (HbO2) in the blood, which indicates how much oxygen is present in the blood.
The increase in blood oxygen during exercise or other activities is necessary to provide the energy required for muscle function. The higher the oxygen content in the blood, the better the human metabolism.
Generally, anyone’s blood oxygen saturation reading should be between 90%-100%. If the SpO2 reading remains below 90%, it is recommended to review and provide health/medical advice.
