Here are steps to enable new File Explorer in Windows 10
Microsoft provides an easy-to-use Windows Explorer as a way to manage files and folders on your computer. So far, the company has tried to maintain the interface design so that major changes do not affect or confuse users.
However, the company has been researching new ideas to make some changes to the interface. In the new update of Windows 10, the company added a newly refreshed File Explorer, which can be enabled by making adjustments.
The new Windows Explorer is the Universal Windows Platform and is only available on Windows 10 v1703 or higher. If you are not sure which version you are using, open the “Run” command and type winver for details.
To use the new File Explorer on the Windows 10 system, we will create a shortcut and point it to the new Windows Explorer. This is a step-by-step process.
Step 1: Right-click on the black screen on the desktop.
Step 2: From the available options, click “New”> “Shortcut”.
Step 3: In the “Shortcut Wizard”, enter the following text in the location: explorer shell: AppsFolder\c5e2524a-ea46-4f67-841f-6a9465d9d515_cw5n1h2txyewy!App
Step 4: Tap “Next” to enter the name of the shortcut, and then click “Finish”.
The shortcut creation process is now complete. Now, no matter where you click this shortcut, a new File Explorer window will open on your computer. Just like regular Windows Explorer, but with a refined and modern user interface.
