You have a Google account, and it is likely that you will track and store much more information than you think. However, this is not all. Google does its best to keep all of this information private.

But it’s good to review this information to learn how to use privacy checks to keep your Google account safe. Google has taken many security measures to ensure that your information will not be stolen even if you have the most secure Android phone.

How to secure your Google account with Privacy Checkup

  • Open the Google app on your phone.
  • Tap on your profile picture in the upper right corner.
  • Choose Manage your Google Account.
  • Towards the middle of the screen, under your name, scroll left and tap on Data & personalization.
  • Tap on taking Privacy Checkup or you may see Review suggestions.
  • Select See suggestions.

Follow the prompts to set your privacy settings to delete your account, location history, YouTube history, invalid account plans, Google Photos grouping, and advertising settings.

If you are logged in, you can use the Chrome browser to perform a privacy check on your Google account. Just click on your profile picture in the upper right corner of the browser window and start the third step from the top.
