Apple’s latest iPhone 12 Pro supports personal hotspot connections for guest devices above 5 GHz, providing faster transfer speeds. Previous iPhone models only supported 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi transmission speed, but only supported a single hotspot.
Moreover, the personal hotspot feature in the iPhone allows users to access their smartphone’s cellular data and share it with other devices via Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, or wired connections.
Historically, all iPhones have established a separate hotspot connection on the 2.4GHz network and are supported by the widest range of devices.
