If you want to manage phone contacts effectively, the first question you must ask yourself is: Where are my phone contacts stored?
If you have not connected the cloud service to your phone, your contact is “active” in the phone’s memory. But most people are using iCloud, Google Contacts, Outlook, or any other contact repository that exists in the cloud. If this is the case, the contacts you see in your phone’s address book may extract information from one or more locations.
The contacts you manually added will be under the ‘Contacts’ tab, while the people you have only exchanged emails with will be under ‘Other Contacts.’ This is important to know because once you start sharing your Google contacts with your phone.
