Home screen layout on Android is the way you arrange your Android app on your phone screen and phone widgets. The home screen layout can be locked and unlocked.
When the home screen layout is locked the app arrangement becomes fixed and immobile. But when the screen layout is unlocked, apps on your Android become mobile, and rearrangement of the app and widget will become possible.
Home Screen Layout Locked: How to Know
- To verify that your phone home screen layout is locked simply press and drag the app from its current location to a new location and you will see “Home screen layout locked.
- Otherwise, you will be able to move the app. Meanwhile, be conscious not to uninstall the app when you press and hold the app icon.
How to Unlock Home Screen Layout on Huawei
- Press and hold your Huawei phone home screen.
- Click on “Home screen settings” to the bottom right.
- Click on the blue “lock layout” button to unlock.
- Done.
To confirm that your home screen layout has been unlocked click on any of the app icons on your phone screen. Once it becomes moveable it means the home screen layout has been unlocked.
