Microsoft has begun to roll out the May 2021 update or H121 version for the Windows 10 operating system as an optional update to provide compatible hardware and software configurations.
It has a small number of improvements and functions. The update will not be automatically installed on your system, but if you want to delay the upgrade for any reason, a step-by-step guide on how to proceed will be provided.
How to pause Windows 10 update download
Windows 10 comes with some options to delay or even prevent feature updates using the “OS Settings” application. We will use the Settings app to block or postpone the new update of Windows 10 in May 2021.
Step 1: Open the Settings app on your computer and click on “Update & Security.”
Step 2: Now, click on the “Windows Update” option on the left side pane.
Step 3: In the Windows Update section, click on the “Advanced Options” button.
Step 4: Under the “Pause Updates” section, use the drop-down menu to select how long you want to delay updates.
