How to Change the Compatibility View on my computer?
Modern browsers may have trouble displaying some older Web pages correctly. When Internet Explorer encounters one of these pages, it places a Compatibility View button in your address bar; click that button and IE attempts to display the site correctly. To make the Compatibility View mode work, IE automatically downloads a list of incompatible websites and stores it on your computer.
However, you have the option to prevent this from happening and also adjust other Compatibility View settings.
STEPS:
1 Launch Internet Explorer, click the “Tools” button on the Menu bar and then click “Compatibility View Settings” to open the Compatibility View Settings window. If your browser does not display the Menu bar, press “Alt” to make it appear.
2 Remove the checkmark from the “Download Updated Compatibility Lists from Microsoft” check box if you don’t want IE to download sites automatically to the list.
3 Place a checkmark in the “Display all websites in compatibility mode” check the box if you want the browser to display all sites using Compatibility View. Click “Close” to save your changes.
