Here’s how to use voice control to take photos on iPhone 12
There are many ways to take pictures remotely with the camera on the iPhone 12 series devices, one of which is via voice control. In this guide, we will show you how to enable this feature.
The voice control function can be used with the volume button to trigger the camera shutter, or it can be controlled with your voice. This is because the iPhone allows users to use the volume buttons to trigger the camera shutter.
How to use voice control to take photos on iPhone 12
- Open the “Settings” application on your Apple iPhone.
- In the Settings app, go to Accessibility and tap on the “Voice Control” option.
- Turn on the switch next to the Voice Control option so it’s in the green ON position.
- Now, launch the “Camera” application and line up your shot.
- When ready, just say “Turn up the volume” to activate the camera’s shutter and take the picture.
Note: Once you activate this, you will see a little microphone icon in the top-left corner of your screen indicating that Voice Control is active.
You can disable voice control by toggling the switch in “Settings” again. There are other ways to take photos remotely on the Apple iPhone camera app, for example, using Apple Watch, which we will cover in a separate guide.
