How to find the IP Address of a Windows 10 PC?
As the name implies, your computer’s IP address (Internet Protocol) is the address that provides identity to devices on the network. Whether it is the local network in the corporate intranet, your home, or a larger network (such as the Internet).
Every website you visit on the Internet also uses a unique IP address. Fortunately, we can use DNS to access simple names like Microsoft.com.
Finding the IP Address of a Windows 10 PC
- Go to Settings > Network & Internet. Then select either Wi-Fi or Ethernet (depending on how the device connects).
- Then select the Ethernet Connected icon. Scroll down to the Properties section and you’ll see your IPV4 address information.
- Finding your Wi-Fi IP address is a bit different. You still go to Settings > Network & Internet, but then select Advanced options. Then scroll down to the Properties section to see the IP address of the device.
