How to enable LED flash notifications on iPhone and iPad Pro?

Posted on

Unlike some Android phones, Apple’s iPhone does not have a dedicated notification LED, which lights up when you receive a call, text message, or another alert.

The iPhone includes an optional accessibility feature for deaf and hard-of-hearing people that flashes the rear camera flash and provides visual cues for incoming notifications.

Even if your hearing is good, if you are in a quiet environment and don’t want to disturb the calm, it would be convenient to provide a visual signal for incoming alarms.

For example, when your iPhone or iPad is lying on the table and the vibration alarm is turned off, the LED flash notification can be useful.

STEPS:

  1. Launch the Settings app on your device.
  2. Tap Accessibility.
  3. Turn on LED Flash for Alerts using the toggle switch.
  4. Turn on Flash on Silent if you only want LED flash alerts when your ‌iPhone‌ or ‌iPad Pro‌ is silenced.
