According to the latest report, among foldable smartphones, Microsoft’s Surface Duo and Surface Duo 2 dual-screen phones lack an external screen.
Moreover, Surface Duo has a 360-degree fully open hinge, which means that in theory, you can turn the inside screen into an outside screen, but the latest generation of Surface Duo 2 can no longer fold flat when fully opened, which means this idea no longer feasible.

Furthermore, the Surface Duo 2 device, Microsoft has another solution, the glance bar, but from most angles, the visibility of this glimpse interface is very poor. Now, RainbowWolfer, a Surface Duo user, has imagined another quite attractive solution.
He suggested using Microsoft’s Logo on Surface Duo devices to display basic notifications, just like the small notification screen on the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip. Because it is only used for basic notifications, it does not need to be a touch screen, nor does it significantly affect the thickness of the device.
If you prefer to display only the Logo, the screen can also be displayed in such a solid color. This idea is of course only a concept, but with the development of the Surface Duo product line, Microsoft seems to have begun to consider the real needs of smartphone users, such as a good camera module, and these needs should of course include effective notifications.
