The report pointed out that this is LG Electronics’ first development of automotive semiconductors, and it is expected that LG Electronics will produce its own MCU products within one to two years at the earliest.
At present, LG Electronics is promoting its auto parts business through the “VS Business Headquarters”, “LG magnari power train” and “ZKW”. A spokesperson for the company said: “The company is discussing the internalization of automotive semiconductors, but the specific plan has not yet been determined.”
