Vivo scrolling screen mobile phone patent appeared

According to a patent application filed by Vivo at the World Intellectual Property Organization, Vivo may be developing a mobile phone with a scrolling screen. The patent was filed as early as May 2021 and published on December 2.

The patent picture shows that the phone will have an expandable display that can be expanded from the right to increase the display. Extendable screen phones are not new in the market, because OPPO had previously demonstrated the OPPO X 2021 scroll screen concept device, but it did not launch it on the market.

Moreover, the Vivo expandable screen phone expands from the right side and retracts when not in use. It is possible that the screen will expand when performing certain tasks, such as opening the camera app, reading files, watching videos, etc. The phone has a motor that automatically pulls out of the screen when triggered.

Vivo may even allow the user to manually open the hidden screen when the user deems it appropriate. The speaker grill of the machine is on the top, and the USB Type-C interface is on the right. There is a rectangular module on the back for placing multiple camera sensors. There is a punch hole in the upper right corner of the front of the phone for the selfie camera.

Since the design is still in the patent stage, it is difficult to say whether Vivo will launch this phone soon, but considering that Vivo likes innovative designs.
