Furthermore, Largan is the main supplier of Apple’s new iPhone 13 lens. Although there is an incentive to ship new phones, the shipment specifications are mostly the existing 6P and 7P designs, and the supply chain is dragged down by the lack of materials.
Largan CEO Lin Enping recently stated that the introduction of some high-end mobile phone lenses was postponed to next year due to problems in the supply chain and lack of AP (application processor), thus suppressing revenue growth momentum.
However, Lin Enping said that next year the sensor specifications will be upgraded from the current 108MP and 144MP to more than 200MP, and the lens specifications will also be upgraded accordingly.
