OPPO said that as OPPO’s third-generation smart glasses launched in the past three years, the birth of OPPO Air Glass marks the true evolution of smart glasses from toys to tools.
OPPO stated that smart glasses should have the four major characteristics of beauty, lightness, universality, and tolerability. In the future, smart glasses will become the “third screen” for individuals after mobile phones and watches.
Moreover, OPPO Air Glass adopts a monocular split solution. The customized frame can be adapted to various optical lenses. Regardless of whether it is nearsighted or not, you can have your own choice, so that daily wear is no longer an obstacle. The main body weighs less than 30 grams, and the lens thickness is only 1.3 mm.
The lens uses a thin and light diffractive optical waveguide technology to achieve an average eye-brightness of 1400 nits. The maximum brightness of a silicon-based Micro LED display with a single pixel of only 4 microns can reach 3 million nits.

The self-developed Spark micro-optical machine is only the size of a coffee bean. In a small space of less than 0.5 cubic centimeters, there are 5 customized high-resolution antireflection optical glasses, which can effectively increase the light transmittance and reduce the interference of stray light.
In terms of performance, OPPO Air Glass is equipped with the Snapdragon 4100 wearable device platform, with a portable charging base, which can last up to 10.5 hours. In terms of specific functions, OPPO Air Glass supports weather reminders, schedule reminders, speech inscriptions, real-time translation, and step-by-step navigation.
OPPO Air Glass provides four interaction methods, including touch, voice, gesture, and head movement control, allowing users to freely choose their favorite interaction methods according to their habits: After waking up the smart assistant, the user can use voice to set the basic settings of the glasses and use basic functions; when pairing OPPO Watch, users can confirm, cancel and switch application cards by rotating their palms, making a fist, etc.
Innovative head movement control allows users to open notifications just by gently bowing their heads information; just lift your head slightly, and the notification can be put away, realizing new possibilities for obtaining information efficiently.
Through the dedicated App, OPPO Air Glass can be used with mobile phones and OPPO Watch that supports ColorOS 11 and above. Just select a different application card in the App, OPPO Air Glass can provide information notifications from the application.
Moreover, the official price of OPPO Air Glass has not yet been announced. OPPO Air Glass will launch two colors, namely silver wing and black mirror, together with two custom frame kits, which will be available to the Chinese market in the spring of 2022.
In addition, OPPO will start a trial event for OPPO Air Glass exclusive to OPPO users in February next year, and you can also experience the open experience in designated OPPO stores. At the same time, OPPO will open all the SDKs of OPPO Air Glass.
